Residual stress test method

2023-11-27 10:00

An X-ray diffractometer is an instrument used to measure residual stress inside a material. By analyzing the X-ray diffraction pattern of the material, the residual stress distribution inside the material is calculated.

X-ray diffractometer

How to prepare samples:

1. Sample preparation: Cut the sample to be tested into the appropriate size and shape, and polish the surface until smooth.

2. X-ray source selection: Select the appropriate X-ray source according to the composition and requirements of the sample.

3. Diffraction Angle measurement: X-ray diffractometer is used to measure the diffraction intensity of the sample at different angles.

4. Data processing: According to Bragg equation and diffraction intensity data, the lattice constant and grain size of the sample are calculated.

5. Residual stress calculation: According to the change of lattice constant and grain size, combined with the properties of materials and processing technology, calculate the residual stress distribution inside the sample.
