Since the 1990s, synchrotron radiation X-ray tomography imaging technology has been widely used in material research. And at present, x-ray is used in more and more fields and scenarios.
X-ray application field:
1. Paleontological fossil tomography imaging
Because the hard 4-rays produced by synchrotron radiation source have the advantages of high brightness and high collimation, high resolution non-destructive 3D microscopic imaging of fossil specimens can be realized.
2. 3D imaging of cell fine structure
The X-ray microscopic imaging technology based on synchrotron radiation source has the advantages of high resolution, simple sample preparation, and three-dimensional display of the fine structure of cells in close to the natural state.
3. Non-destructive 3D inspection of materials
X-ray tomography can realize non-destructive 3D imaging of microstructure, defects and damage inside materials.
