Application of XRD - Structure analysis of mesoporous molecular sieve SBA-15
2023-12-25 10:00Mesoporous molecular sieve SBA-15 has a two-dimensional hexagonal pore structure with large cells, larger pore size, thicker pore wall and higher pore volume, and has better hydrothermal stability, which has a wide range of applications in catalysis, separation, biology and nanomaterials. The structural stability of SBA-15 is closely related to its pore size and properties, and XRD is one of the effective methods to characterize its structure. At present, with the development of diffractometer, the design of dynamic optical path solves these problems well.
Example:
The small-angle XRD pattern of SBA-15 is shown in Figure 1. The low-angle scattering is well controlled and the diffraction peak is obvious. The five diffraction peaks correspond to (100), (110), (200), (300), and (220). According to the structure diagram of SBA-15 in Fig2, the average hole distance a0=12.27nm is calculated.
